Start your day with a local breakfast and a fascinating coffee-roasting lesson. Learn about the traditional methods of coffee production and even participate in the process.
The hike begins on the Qhapaq Ñan, a section of the historic Inca Trail network, offering glimpses of diverse bird species and plantations of coca, coffee, and tropical fruits. Reach the Huancarcasa viewpoint at 1,750 meters, where you’ll pause to take in sweeping views of the valley below.
After descending to Qellomayo village for lunch, continue trekking for two hours to the Cocalmayo thermal baths at 1,450 meters. These natural hot springs provide a perfect way to unwind before heading to Santa Teresa for dinner and an overnight stay.
